I became a dietitian because I genuinely believe nothing is more natural than using food as medicine.
I studied and received my training in London. Since I qualified,
I began my career as a Registered Dietitian in an NHS hospital in in London in 2013. Over the years I have also worked as a Catering Dietitian for Interserve and a Gastroenterology Specialist Dietitian in several other NHS hospitals in London and Kent.
I began my journey as a Freelance Dietitian in 2015 and founded Yvonne Yum Dietitian in 2017. I have a particular interest in gastrointestinal disorders such as coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, liver and pancreatic diseases.
In my spare time, I love baking and cooking for my family. I enjoy putting my nutritional knowledge into practice whilst creating fun recipes that are suitable for many diet types.
Since the birth of my daughter, Lettie, I have developed a new interest in infant nutrition. Soon after weaning, we discovered she had multiple food allergies. I refused to let this defeat us and was determined to take on this new challenge!
