Homemade Peanut Butter - Palm Oil FREE!

Did I say palm oil free? Yes I did!


The way I make my granola, I can easily go through a jar of peanut butter in a week or two! Have you noticed, most of the budget priced peanut butter brands contain palm oil (a source of saturated fats which are linked to heart diseases)? And all the so called healthier peanut butter alternatives cost a lot more? It's so unfair!


I found a cheaper way to get palm oil free peanut butter and that's to make it yourself! All you need is toasted peanuts (and it really doesn't matter whether the peanuts are organic or not), a little oil (optional if you like it runnier), a good blender and patience. How long it takes depends on how fast your blender is... Took mine just over 2 minutes to get to the consistency I want.


You can also replace peanuts with almond or hazelnuts... Yum yum yum!
